This year, for the very first time, we have decided to participate in the major trade fair for quality organic products in the alpine region: Biolife, the organic trade fair. 

What is Biolife 2019 – Organic Trade Fair?

Biolife 2019 is primarily a journey into the world of organic products and has become an important event for many people over the last few years. Individuals and companies who share a passion for organic products and want to discover all about the new producers.

The principal target of the trade fair is the informed final consumer. However, over recent years, it has also increasingly gained the attention of professional operators, such as chefs, hoteliers and restaurateurs.

Four days of intensive activity and encounters with the producers, who are there to explain their production set-up and the authenticity and quality of their raw materials to all visitors.

The figures of the Biolife Organic Trade Fair

This year’s trade fair also saw the arrival in Bolzano of around 200 of the leading producers of high-quality, certified organic products from throughout Italy.

They each presented their products, their specialty foods and more, ranging from natural products to environmentally friendly textiles.

The trade fair receives around 40,000 visitors. It has become a major event in the area, due to the large number of visitors it attracts, partly thanks to free entry on the first two days and the low cost of tickets during the weekend.

The initiatives of Biolife 2019

A large number of initiatives were organised for last year’s event, including extra virgin olive oil tasting sessions, the Organic Wine Festival and a wide range of workshops.

Molino Agostini was present, with one of our key products, in one of the cooking demonstrations inside the Biolife taste area.

The students of the renowned “Ritz” hospitality training institute in Merano, headed by  Chef Luigi Ottaiano, prepared a dish with our Cappelli durum wheat paccheri pasta and cherry tomatoes, sausage and Grana cheese flakes, all strictly organic.

The dish was greeted with great enthusiasm by the visitors.

For our first year, we chose to participate through the initiative of the Marche Region: a single, large stand dedicated entirely to the products of our territory.

Many people came to see us and we received a lot of positive feedback during the four days of the event.

We are extremely satisfied with the result and the relationships that were created.
